Democrats seem incapable of giving up their obsession with gender, and now a potential 2028 candidate has doubled down on the insanity. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is facing significant criticism following the introduction of his 2025–2027 budget proposal, which suggests revising certain gender-specific terms in state law to promote inclusivity.
Presented on Tuesday before the state Senate’s Joint Committee on Finance, the proposal also advocates for a broader shift in gendered terminology across legal statutes.
Now the liberal governor is being charged with “erasing mothers,” writes The Daily Caller.
The 1,917-page bill was introduced Tuesday by the Wisconsin Senate’s Joint Committee on Finance and contained Evers‘s budget recommendations for the 2025-2027 fiscal period. Amendments to certain parts of the bill that concerned state laws on paternity disputes and artificial insemination recommended that the term “mother” be replaced with “inseminated person” or “person inseminated;” “biological father” with “natural parent;” “husband” with “spouse;” and “male” with “person;” among other changes.
This is beyond parody,” wrote WISN-TV broadcaster Dan O’Donnell on X.
Scarlett Johnson, a Wisconsin Moms for Liberty Activist, accused Evers of trying to erase mothers. “‘Mother’. ‘Woman’. Those are words he can’t say because the woke won’t let him. The woke won’t let us define what a woman is,” Johnson added.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with Democrats, I really don’t. Why they’re willing to throw mothers under the bus, just virtue-signaling to a bunch of crazy people,” she also said.
“The thought of being labeled as “inseminated” or “uninseminated” by this creep makes my stomach turn ???” wrote activist and former competitive swimmer Riley Gaines.
I can’t explain how ridiculously offensive it is for women to be reduced down to whether they’ve been inseminated or not https://t.co/wIOpMvn0mI

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) joined the chorus of disapproval, with Executive Director Sara Craig denouncing the proposed terminology changes as “offensive to mothers.” Craig said, “Motherhood is the greatest privilege I will ever have, and every mother I know shares that sentiment. If Tony Evers can reduce motherhood to an ‘inseminated person,’ it signals a troubling shift in societal values.”
A poll by The New York Times earlier in the month revealed that the country believes Democrats have lost touch with reality. When asked to identify what they perceive as the Democratic Party’s top priorities, respondents frequently pointed to issues such as abortion rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and climate change. However, when it came to the issues that mattered most to them personally, participants highlighted economic concerns—specifically inflation, healthcare, and immigration—as their top priorities. Social issues championed by progressive activists were consistently ranked lower on the list of personal concerns.
The perception that Democrats are overly focused on social issues is further emphasized by data showing only 4 percent of Americans consider gay rights as a top personal concern.
Adding to the concern for Democrats, a separate Quinnipiac University poll revealed that 57 percent of Americans hold an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party, the highest disapproval rating since the university began tracking the metric in 2008.
The findings come at a pivotal moment for the Democratic Party as members convene in Washington this weekend to elect their next party chairman and strategize on how to counter Republican influence ahead of upcoming elections. The data suggests an uphill battle for Democrats, as the party grapples with perceptions that it is increasingly out of touch with the economic priorities of average voters.
Democrats have so far refused to listen. In December, outgoing national party chairman, Jaime Harrison, urged Democrats to double down on race and gender ideology.
Those comments were quickly followed by a leadership vote earlier in the month in which the party could not perform electoral basics because the party created rules that revolved around “gender identity,” reported Fox News.
DNC official demands the DNC elect a nonbinary person for a leadership position.
They still don’t understand why they lost.

The party still has no idea why they lost in 2024.

Neither does Governor Evers, which probably means he’ll end up a 2028 frontrunner.
