Joe Biden Insults Half The Country

It’s become clear over the past decade that Democrats dislike half of the country. Whether it was “bitter clingers” or “a basket of deplorables,” the leaders of the party have always attacked conservatives and independents who don’t fully support their party.

Over the past week or so, Kamala Harris has upped the ante, declaring that Donald Trump is a “fascist” or a “Nazi” and then demanding that supporting her price controls, attacking of the Electoral College, enacting censorship, or packing of the Supreme Court is the only way to “defend democracy.”

Now, however, in the wake of fake outrage over a joke told at Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, President Joe Biden has upped the ante, writes Fox News.

President Biden went viral Tuesday night for comments disparaging Trump supporters as his No. 2, Vice President Kamala Harris, made a major speech to voters calling for unity from the Ellipse right outside the White House.

During a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino, Biden took a swipe at former President Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden, which made headlines after insult comedian Tony Hinchiffe made jokes mocking different ethnic groups, with one joke referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “[Trump’s] demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it is un-American.”

Biden’s staff immediately tried to clean up his mess, posting on Twitter, “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say,” he wrote.

Several media outlets also tried to edit his statement to make it more palatable.

This isn’t the first time that Biden has attacked half of the country. During a 2022 rant, the president claimed that Trump supporters were “semi-fascists” and a poll later that year revealed that a majority of Americans thought that the president was trying to “incite conflict amongst Americans.”

Biden’s gross comment went viral and led to swift condemnations from his critics.

“This is disgusting,” Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance reacted. “Kamala Harris and her boss Joe Biden are attacking half of the country. There’s no excuse for this. I hope American reject it.”

Elon Musk, who has backed Trump, citing Biden and Harris’ support for censorship, also joined in.

Even the Democratic governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, piled on the comments.

After being informed by Marco Rubio about Biden’s comments, Trump himself was a little more sympathetic, reminding everyone that Joe Biden is senile and the Democrats have simply been hiding the fact.

The comments from the president came during a “major closing speech” by Kamala Harris in Washington where she only talked about Trump, not what she’d do for the country. Chances are, though, the focus won’t be on her tomorrow.
