By Kamala Harris loves to insist that Donald Trump will weaponize the government against his political opponents, but anyone who has been paying attention knows that Democrats have been targeting conservatives for years.
Now, however, they’ve found a new Enemy Number 1.
The Daily Caller reports that Biden has been targeting Elon Musk and his businesses for years, which will only go into overdrive under a Harris administration after the Tesla and SpaceX founder has spent millions and much of his time to campaign against her.
“I think if Harris wins, they will launch multiple criminal investigations of Elon Musk,” former U.S. District Attorney for Utah and Executive Director of Right On Crime, Brett Tolman, told the Daily Caller. “There’s no question.”
Musk’s companies are currently tangled up in numerous battles over federal investigations and regulations. Musk’s companies Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and X are all involved in investigations and regulatory battles with various agencies.

“I’ve never seen the DOJ act and behave this way before,” Tolman emphasized.
The DOJ is not the only agency targeting Elon Musk – the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) allegedly tried to influence an independent assessor to “punish” Musk’s platform, according to the House Judiciary Committee.
Since Musk acquired Twitter, the FTC has sent 16 demand letters to X Corp, according to legal documents from 2023. That was an escalation from the 28 demand letters issued in the over ten years prior to Musk taking over.
In July, the House Judiciary Committee revealed that the FTC not only threatened Musk, but also went after his independent accounting firm, Ernst and Young.

The outlet noted that selective enforcement could potentially set a precedent for targeting other influential Trump supporters if he loses the election. Musk isn’t the only Silicon Valley figure to pivot toward Trump in recent years; others, such as Sequoia Capital’s Shaun Maguire, San Francisco billionaire David Sacks, and venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, are among the many millionaires and billionaires who have thrown their support behind Trump.
Earlier in the week, The Washington Examiner explained that Democrats are going to target Musk even if Harris loses. The party has already begun viewing the billionaire as their new top villain.
“Musk’s purchase of Twitter, now X, had already put him in the sights of liberal media and Democratic politicians, as they lost control of what they view as the most influential social media site in the country. Musk’s newfound Republican turn has already made him the target of Democratic politicians, with California passing an unconstitutional “deepfake” law targeting Musk and X while the California Coastal Commission explicitly rejected an increase in SpaceX launches, citing Musk’s politics.
The rage is continuing to build among Democrats. Michigan’s Democratic secretary of state has accused Musk of “spreading dangerous disinformation,” echoing the media parroting of Musk disinformation accusations. Disinformation has been the focus of Democrats going back to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 loss, during which Democrats blamed “fake news” and Russian Facebook memes for stealing the election.
If Trump wins, there will no doubt be a rabid backlash from Democrats and liberal media that makes the 2016 war on Facebook look like a picnic, and Musk will be the target. Europe and Brazil have already begun censorship fights with Musk and X, and President Joe Biden, Harris, and Harris’s running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), have all listed “disinformation” as a threat that the government must address and that isn’t protected by free speech. So, too, have rank-and-file Democratic bureaucrats such as climate czar John Kerry and health department official Rachel Levine.
Musk has crossed the lines of being ultrarich but not supporting Democrats, unlike megadonors George and Alex Soros, who have used their billions to reshape the criminal justice system, and being a celebrity but not supporting Democrats like, well, every other celebrity. He has also removed the Democratic vice grip on X that Democrats and liberal “journalists” had used to justify censorship based on “disinformation” accusations, as happened with the New York Post’s accurate story about Hunter Biden’s laptop.”
The liberal media has already begun to pretend that Musk is the only billionaire putting money into the election.

For some reason, CNN hasn’t gone into detail about Alex Soros “buying the election,” despite summoning multiple Democrats to his apartment to take a photo with him like he’s a hunter collecting skins.
