It will likely be the most listened-to podcast in history. According to a new report, former President Donald Trump plans to record an interview with podcasting giant Joe Rogan this Friday.

The conversation is scheduled to take place at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas, a source familiar with the plans told Politico.

Rogan, who has more than 14 million followers on Spotify, has long occupied the top positions in national podcast ratings, and Trump’s appearance on his show continues the campaign’s push to win young male voters. In recent weeks, Trump has appeared on such male-friendly podcasts as “This Week w/ Theo Vaughn” and “Full Send,” a show hosted by the pro-Trump Nelk Boys.

Trump has never appeared on Rogan’s podcast and the two have had a complicated relationship. In August, Trump called out Rogan after the podcaster claimed that politicians on both sides are manipulative except for Robert Kennedy Jr., who at the time was running for president.

“It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024” Trump posted of Rogan, who is a UFC commentator.

Rogan himself has been critical of Trump in the past. In July 2022, he called the former president an “existential threat to democracy.” Yet Rogan has more recently been complimentary of Trump, saying last month that the economy under Trump “did really well and he really did try to cut some of the bullshit down that’s going on in this country.”

Newsweek reported last week that Barron Trump has been helping his father choose which podcasts to appear on. The move has paid off for the former president. He’s gotten rave reviews so far.

Vice President Kamala Harris has also been said to be in discussions to go on Rogan, but Harris spokesperson did not immediately share any news with the outlet.

The vice president’s campaign has been hemorrhaging male voters for Democrats over the past two months. The campaign, for inexplicable reasons, thought that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz would appeal to men because he once coached football and recently paraded him out to do “manly” things to shore up support.

The move was a total flop.

The campaign also released an odd commercial aimed toward men that immediately became ridiculed online.

In an op-ed published Monday, the director of polling at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics warned that the Trump campaign’s emphasis on young men could threaten the Democrats’ grip on this key demographic, potentially reshaping the electoral landscape in future elections.

“Generation Z is poised to flex its growing political muscle in the 2024 presidential election, and in my surveys and focus groups with these voters, I’m seeing the strong potential for a turning point in American political alignment. Unlike other recent Republican presidential nominees, Donald Trump is making young men a central focus of his campaign. If effective, his effort could peel enough away from the Democratic Party to transform the country’s electoral math for years to come.

Recent data from the Harvard Youth Poll, a national survey I oversee for the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, reveals an increasing political rift between young men and women under 30, two groups critical to Democrats’ success in recent elections. Almost exactly equal shares of young men and young women say they will definitely vote in this election or have already done so. But since the spring of 2020, the share of young men identifying as registered Democrats has dropped by seven percentage points, while those identifying as Republicans have increased by seven points — a net shift of 14 points in just four years. Young women, during the same period, shifted two points away from the Republicans.

The Harris campaign reportedly canceled an event with Gwen Walz after Kamala spoke to Tim Walz to tell him his wife’s overbearing attitude was hurting her with male voters.

Who could have guessed that men do not like this kind of thing?

Walz was scheduled to focus on reproductive rights during the appearance.

Trump will be following up his podcast recording with Rogan by holding a massive rally at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
