Harris Surrogate Says J.D. Vance’s Family Should Be Assaulted

After the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, Joe Biden urged the nation to “lower the temperature,” especially on his own side, when it comes to political rhetoric.

That sentiment lasted about a week before Democrats dove into conspiracy theories and once again called Donald Trump a “clear and present danger” and a “plague on the American conscience.”

Since Trump has proven himself to be unfazed by the insults and calls for violence, Democrats have moved to softer targets, mainly the wife and children of J.D. Vance, according to reports. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, who was on the shortlist to be Kamala Harris’ vice president, appeared to call for Vance’s family to be sexually assaulted.

Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, on Tuesday reviled a suggestion by Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear that the senator should “go through” pregnancy due to rape.

The Democratic governor’s comments came during an appearance on MSNBC, during which he said Sen. Vance has previously referred to pregnancy due to rape as “inconvenient.” Such a characterization did not sit well with the Bluegrass State leader.

“Inconvenience is traffic,” he said. “I mean it is a — make him go through this. It is someone being violated, someone being harmed and then telling them that they don’t have options after that.”

Gov. Beshear was likely referring to a 2021 interviewduring which then-Senate candidate Vance said society should not view a pregnancy due to rape or incest as “inconvenient.”

“My view on this has been very clear and I think the question betrays a certain presumption that is wrong,” Sen. Vance said in 2021. “It’s not whether a woman should be forced to bring a child to term, it’s whether a child should be allowed to live, even though the circumstances of that child’s birth are somehow inconvenient or a problem to the society. The question really, to me, is about the baby.”

The sick call for violence against his family was firmly met by Vance, who called out the governor for his nastiness.

On Monday, Governor Beshear spoke at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), where his address centered on the topic of abortion, a key issue for Democratic voters. In his speech, the governor emphasized the Democratic Party’s commitment to tolerance and inclusivity.

“How we treat people transcends party lines,” Governor Beshear stated. “It goes right to the heart of who we are. I want everyone watching tonight—Republican, independent, Democrat—to know that you are welcome here.”

The Trump campaign communications director, William Martin, said, “After speaking on the DNC main stage last night, Harris campaign surrogate Governor Andy Beshear went on national television this morning and explicitly called for a member of Senator Vance’s family to be raped. His comments are disgusting, vile, and should not be tolerated in American politics. We call on Kamala Harris to immediately repudiate Governor Beshear’s comments and demonstrate that regardless of partisan disagreements, this kind of violent rhetoric has no place in our public discourse.”

Democrats have turned abortion into one of their sacred rites. The New York Post reported, “Planned Parenthood offered free vasectomies and medicinal abortions in an oversized van outside the Democratic National Convention on Monday, giving men the chance to get snipped in as little as 20 minutes – and grab a taco on their way out.

The van, which will also operate on Tuesday, has two separate rooms where patients who filled out a registration form could get the procedure done. The organization had sent out a registration link on Thursday – and all 40 spots for the services were filled by Saturday.”
