Hunter’s Sugar Brother Allegedly Protected By Three Letter Agency

Once in a while, there are stories that will raise everyone’s eyebrows.

Last week, New Conservative Post, among many others, noted that Hunter Biden’s “Sugar Brother,” a wealthy Hollywood lawyer named Kevin Morris, had told the crown prince of the Biden Family that he was running out of cash.

Without his buddy to help him, Hunter has been facing major financial strain because he has racked up nearly $10 million in legal fees over the past few years as he’s run into multiple felony charges related to taxes and guns, along with the ongoing a congressional investigation into his influence peddling.

Now, according to a new whistleblower report, the reason Kevin Morris may have “run out of cash” may be connected to the Central Intelligence Agency.

When the IRS wanted to call Morris as a witness in its investigation into Hunter’s tax problems, the CIA stepped in and told the tax agency to leave him alone. The reason? Classified, writes The Washington Free Beacon

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf ordered IRS staff to drop Kevin Morris from its witness list after an August 2021 meeting at CIA headquarters, according to testimony from IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley. It is not clear what the CIA told Wolf about Morris, who has spent at least $6.5 million on Hunter Biden’s legal fees, child support, and luxurious living arrangements in California.

The revelation marks another strange turn in the saga of Hunter Biden’s legal troubles. It has long been unclear why Morris, an entertainment lawyer and Hollywood producer who says he met Hunter Biden at a fundraiser in December 2019, has been willing to spend such an exorbitant amount of money on a man he has only known for a few years.

According to Shapley, Wolf met at the CIA’s headquarters with Justice Department tax attorney Jack Morgan after the intelligence agency summoned them. There, Wolf was “provided a classified briefing in relation to Mr. Morris and as a result we could no longer pursue him as a witness,” according to Shapley.

“AUSA Wolf proudly referenced a CIA mug and stated that she purchased some CIA ‘swag’ at the gift shop while she was there,” Shapley wrote in his testimony.

The House Ways and Means Committee included Shapley’s affidavit showing the CIA’s connection to Morris in a document dump on Wednesdayexplained The Washington Examiner.

Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) said in a statement that the documents showed Biden lied under oath when he appeared before Congress for a deposition in February. Smith called for the DOJ to add perjury to its list of charges to consider as it investigates and prosecutes Biden for tax charges and charges related to a 2018 gun purchase.

Biden, for example, said in the deposition that he was ‘high or drunk’ when he sent a WhatsApp message to a Chinese energy executive pressuring the executive to pay him while leveraging his father, President Joe Biden. Hunter Biden testified that he actually sent the now-viral message to the ‘wrong Zhao’ and that that Zhao had no idea what the first son was talking about.

But the committee’s documents show the WhatsApp number clearly belonged to the Zhao associated with the energy company and that Hunter Biden’s testimony about the threatening message was misleading.

‘The Zhao that this is sent to is not the Zhao connected to [Chinese energy company] CEFC,’ Hunter Biden had said during the deposition.”

The CIA has challenged Shapely’s assertion that the agency helped prevent a Morris interview with the IRS.

In a letter to Jim Jordan and James Comer, James Catella, the CIA’s director of the Office of Congressional Affairs, wrote, “Without confirming or denying the existence of any associations or communications, the CIA did not prevent or seek to prevent the IRS or DOJ from conducting any such interview. The allegation is false.”

The CIA continued by noting that as a general matter and “without specific reference to the issue about which you have inquired, CIA facilitates the Department of Justice’s access to national security information in the context of investigations and prosecutions in a variety of circumstances.”

Morris had previously loaned Biden millions of dollars, including money to help him pay his back taxes
